I am a wood artist based in Denver, Colorado.

Most of my work is currently centered on woodturning, a form of woodworking in which the wood lathe spins blocks and rounds of wood at high rates of speed while I shape them using a variety of hand-held gouges and chisels. The process is simultaneously exhilarating and meditative and the possibilities for creative expression are endless!

Most of the wood I use is urban salvage- Trees that were cut down for one reason or another. I gather wood from arborists and homeowners and give this wonderful material that was destined for the landfill or firepit a second life as elegant tableware or home decor. I source the remainder of my wood from reputable hardwood dealers that follow sustainable forestry practices.
